At Verified Prompts, we believe privacy isn't a setting—it's an architecture. We built our entire engine to run locally on your device specifically so we cannot see your data.

1. DATA COLLECTION ARCHITECTURE

Most AI tools run on the cloud, meaning every keystroke is sent to a remote server. Verified Prompts is different.

A. Local-First Processing (WebGPU)

Our AI model (TinyLlama/Qwen) runs entirely within your browser using WebGPU technology. The "inference" (thinking) happens on your computer's graphics card. Your prompts, context, and enhanced outputs never leave your machine during the generation process.

B. No Analytics on Prompts

We do not track, log, or analyze the text content of your prompts. We technically cannot see them.

2. WHAT WE DO COLLECT

While we minimize data collection, we require limited information to operate the business and license verification systems:

• Account Information: If you purchase a Pro license, we collect your email address via our payment processor (Gumroad) to deliver your license key.
• License Verification Data: To prevent piracy and enforce the 5-device limit, our extension periodically pings our verification server with a cryptographic hash of your license key and a randomly generated, anonymous "Device ID."
• Aggregate Usage Statistics: We collect anonymous, high-level telemetry to improve the product (e.g., "Feature A was used 500 times today" or "Model download failed"). This data is not linked to your identity or specific prompts.
• Website Analytics: On verifiedprompts.com, we use privacy-focused analytics (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization) to understand traffic sources. This does not track extension usage.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use trusted third-party services to handle specific infrastructure needs. We do not sell your data to them.

• Gumroad: Acts as our Merchant of Record. They handle all credit card processing, local taxes, and invoicing. We never see your full credit card number.
• Netlify: Hosts our website and serverless functions for license verification.
• Resend: Used to send transactional emails (like your license key delivery).

4. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

Your Prompts: retained for 0 seconds on our servers (because they never reach them).

License Data: Retaied as long as your license is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support, though this will revoke access to Pro features.

5. COOKIES & LOCAL STORAGE

The Extension uses `chrome.storage.local` to store:

• Your settings (e.g., "Token Saver" mode).
• The downloaded AI model weights (~1GB, stored in IndexedDB).
• Your cached license key.

This data resides solely on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Verified Prompts is operated from the United States. If you access the service from the EU, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, note that your minimal account data (email) may be processed in the US by our infrastructure providers (Gumroad, Netlify) under standard contractual clauses.

7. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (your email and license history).
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("Right to be Forgotten").
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails (via the Unsubscribe link).
